Coastal flooding today is adding to the erosion from the bluff. I’ll post more later. Here are a couple from today. Click on the picture to see a larger version.

So sad and disturbing. Just nature, I know, but I wish it wasn’t happening.

Oh — the house photo is so dramatic! Beautiful shot! Brown felt sod gently rolling off the the cliff.

Thank you, Chris. There isn’t much left of that yard. I wonder if they are going to try to move it. They better hurry!

Looks like those houses won’t be there anymore in what, 10 years?

Oh, much sooner, maybe this year. The house above has lost 10 feet of yard in the last few months.

Years ago, I mean a long time ago, my wife and I would take our children, first by backpack, then by the hand and later by following along the ‘Sconset Bluff walk to the Sankaty Lighthouse from ‘Sconset Village.

Nature gives and nature takes away.

That’s true, William. The erosion the past few months has been significant. It is hard to see the changes that are rapidly occurring on the bluff. It’s such a beautiful place.
