Ducks in a Row

I am awestruck by this picture. Where in the world is this?
Rebecca, this is on ‘Sconset Beach on Nantucket. This beach is the easternmost point of the island. We get beautiful light here.

Fabulous seascape! Composition and colors are perfect. It’s a little piece of paradise!
Have a nice day.
Thank you so much!

Such a nice sky and light. Well captured.
What a lovely light and wonderful colours! Of course the ducks are fun but what’s that in the background? Not the ‘wardrobe’?!
Thank you, Moodaholic. You have a lovely blog.
Ciel, thank you. That big tank is part of the dewatering system they put in years ago to help with the erosion. It is coming apart now. I imagine it will be hard to move. Here’s a link to a shot of it I took earlier. It’s in the second picture.

Is Sconset Beach a public beach? The picture looks very secluded, even for late April on Nantucket.
Beautiful photograph.
The beach itself is public, Bernice, but it is a long walk from the public area to this section of beach. I wouldn’t recommend coming to this area unless you are pretty cautious. There are no longer any beach stairs here and with the narrow beach you could get into trouble during high tide. The beach stairs are all private, anyway. This area is also accessible from the Sankaty Head area on Hoick’s Hollow Road also, but be sure and read the tide charts before you venture too far. Not that you would drown, but you could get very wet.

Looks like the sun is back on your island, and the storm clouds are moving away..and the ducks are celebrating with a swim!
It has been beautiful, Claude.

Thank you, Fabrizio. I was really blessed by the ducks trooping off to the ocean.
